Top Tools I Use as a Web Developer in 2025

July 23, 2025

As a modern web developer, staying efficient and up-to-date means having the right set of tools — and knowing when to use them. In 2025, the landscape is richer than ever with tools that streamline everything from design and coding to collaboration and deployment. Here’s a list of the top tools I personally use, along with why they’ve earned a permanent spot in my workflow.

1. VS Code – My Daily Code Companion

Still the industry favorite, Visual Studio Code remains my go-to IDE. With smart IntelliSense, a huge extension marketplace, and Git integration, it helps me move fast and stay organized.

Favorite Extensions:

  • Tailwind IntelliSense
  • Prettier
  • GitLens
  • Live Server
  • TabNine

2. Figma – For UI/UX & Prototyping

Whether I’m designing interfaces for personal projects like Royal Assists or collaborating on client UI drafts, Figma makes everything collaborative and responsive. The real-time collaboration and plugin ecosystem are unbeatable.

3. Webflow & Wix – For No-Code Magic

For clients who need fast, responsive, and elegant websites without complex backend needs, I use Webflow (e.g., for BYT Capital) and Wix (for projects like IPOG Studios). Both platforms allow me to focus on content and design — while still providing advanced features like CMS and animations.

4. Tailwind CSS – For Rapid UI Styling

No more writing custom CSS classes for everything. Tailwind lets me design directly in HTML with utility classes — clean, scalable, and fast.

5. React + Vite – My Frontend Stack

For dynamic apps, React is still my top choice. Combined with Vite, the development experience is lightning fast. I use it in most of my MVPs and dashboards.

6. Notion – To Organize It All

From content planning and client notes to tracking bugs and blog drafts, Notion keeps me sane. I use it daily to document everything — including this post!

7. GitHub – Version Control & Collaboration

Everything I build is version-controlled with GitHub. Whether it’s solo work or collaboration, it’s essential for tracking code and managing updates.

8. Netlify & Vercel – For Seamless Deployment

For static or frontend-heavy projects, these two are my preferred hosting platforms. Just connect your GitHub repo and boom — auto-deployment, previews, and SSL out of the box.

9. Canva – For Visual Assets

When I need quick graphics, social content, or even to mock up logos like RAGM or Rajus, Canva helps me create high-quality visuals without opening Photoshop.

10. ChatGPT – For Quick Debugs & Brainstorming

Yes, I use ChatGPT! From quick syntax help to getting blog post ideas like this one, it’s become a silent coding partner and writing assistant. objective economist, and evolutionary strategist.

Final Thoughts…

Tools are just part of the story — how you use them matters more. These tools have helped me build everything from MVPs and blogs to creative brand sites and learning platforms.
